Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Le Repos by Georges d' Espagnat for USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,876.49). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Georges d' Espagnat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Rochers Rouges - Circa 1901 in June 2016 with an auction result of EUR 336,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Le Repos von Georges d' Espagnat für USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.876,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges d' Espagnat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Rochers Rouges - Circa 1901 im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 336.600,00.
