Upper estimate price exceeded by 65 %.
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Lichtfarben by Heinz Mack. The »bidding war« ended at USD 82,275.00 (€ 77,224.52), 65% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Heinz Mack achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kleiner Urwald. in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 1,190,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 65 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lichtfarben von Heinz Mack zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 82.275,00 (€ 77.224,52) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Heinz Mack erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kleiner Urwald. im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.190.000,00.
