Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Under The Influence, which included the work Untitled # 571 by Hellen van Meene. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,602.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hellen van Meene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected Images, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,453.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under The Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled # 571 von Hellen van Meene zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.602,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hellen van Meene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected Images beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.453,60) versteigert wurde.
