Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henry Moore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February this year. In the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction, the work Seated Woman: Thin Neck sold for GBP 1,962,000.00 (€ 2,237,923.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 750,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure: Festival in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 24,722,500.00 (€ 29,675,067.53).
