Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work L'Avocat Pathétique by Honoré Daumier for USD 81,250 (€ 73,736). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000 – 150,000 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Honoré Daumier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Avocats — Le Parquet Des Avocats in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000 (€ 2,024,176).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L'Avocat Pathétique von Honoré Daumier für USD 81.250 (€ 73.736) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000 – 150.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Honoré Daumier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Avocats — Le Parquet Des Avocats im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000 (€ 2.024.176).
