Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Irving Penn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in November 2017. In the Jacques Grange | Collectionneur auction, the work Dora Maar, 1948 sold for EUR 31,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Irving Penn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman in Moroccan Palace (Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn), 1951 in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 361,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Irving Penn erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Jacques Grange | Collectionneur wurde die Arbeit Dora Maar, 1948 für EUR 31.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Irving Penn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woman in Moroccan Palace (Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn), 1951 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 361.000,00.
