Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Two Things Fighting, 22 Pinstripes and Three Striped Pedastals) by Jay Davis for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,406.68). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jay Davis have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2010 by the work It’s Time to Go at USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,084.73).
