Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Torse-gerbe by Jean (Hans) Arp was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,134,000.00 (€ 1,056,751.47) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean (Hans) Arp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Déméter in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Torse-gerbe von Jean (Hans) Arp kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.134.000,00 (€ 1.056.751,47) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean (Hans) Arp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Déméter im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.825.000,00 (€ 5.144.396,36).
