Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean Messagier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. In the Art Contemporain Day Auction auction, the work L'Europe verte sold for EUR 37,800.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Messagier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Labours à ciel sold at auction in June last year with the realized price of EUR 40,320.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Messagier erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction wurde die Arbeit L'Europe verte für EUR 37.800,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jean Messagier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Labours à ciel im Juni letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 40.320,00.
