Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nouvelles impressions n°81 by Jean-Paul Riopelle was sold in the Art Contemporain Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 44,100.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Paul Riopelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 4,882,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nouvelles impressions n°81 von Jean-Paul Riopelle wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 44.100,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Paul Riopelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.882.500,00.
