Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Couple Assis by Georges Jeanclos was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2008. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,250.00. Admittedly, works by Georges Jeanclos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La toupie in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 30,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Couple Assis von Georges Jeanclos wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Jeanclos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La toupie im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.000,00.
