Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Balloon Swan (Yellow) by Jeff Koons was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2019. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,430.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).

Die Arbeit Balloon Swan (Yellow) von Jeff Koons kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.430,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
