In March 2019 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Modified Social Bench #8 by Jeppe Hein. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,606.70), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeppe Hein have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3-Dimensional Circle Illuminated in May this year with an auction result of USD 120,650.00 (€ 113,243.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Modified Social Bench #8 von Jeppe Hein zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.606,70) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeppe Hein auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 3-Dimensional Circle Illuminated im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.650,00 (€ 113.243,85).
