Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shadow No. 1451 by Jiro Takamatsu was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,528.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jiro Takamatsu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shadow No. 1391 in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 538,000.00 (€ 508,602.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Shadow No. 1451 von Jiro Takamatsu wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.528,59) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiro Takamatsu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shadow No. 1391 im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 538.000,00 (€ 508.602,76).
