This artwork by Josef Šíma achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in June 2014. In the Art Contemporain auction, the work Composition sold for EUR 13,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Šíma achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jour du royal bleu in June this year with an auction result of EUR 806,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Josef Šíma erzielte im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain wurde die Arbeit Composition für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Šíma erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jour du royal bleu im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 806.400,00.
