Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work I Want I Want I Want by Julia Chiang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,378.87), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julia Chiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Never Get Stuck, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 33,020.00 (€ 30,371.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit I Want I Want I Want von Julia Chiang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.378,87) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Julia Chiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Never Get Stuck beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 33.020,00 (€ 30.371,60) versteigert wurde.
