Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work FU by Kenny Scharf was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 66,054.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenny Scharf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City of the Future in May last year with an auction result of USD 983,175.00 (€ 916,200.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit FU von Kenny Scharf wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 66.054,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenny Scharf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit City of the Future im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 983.175,00 (€ 916.200,73).
