Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Country Home #4 (Dreamer) by Kevin Appel was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2010. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,241.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kevin Appel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4 Tier Bookshelf, which sold at auction in November 2002 for USD 22,705.00 (€ 22,860.45).
