Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Window Picture 4 by Kevin Appel for USD 1,250.00 (€ 913.08). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kevin Appel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 4 Tier Bookshelf in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 22,705.00 (€ 22,860.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Window Picture 4 von Kevin Appel für USD 1.250,00 (€ 913,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kevin Appel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 4 Tier Bookshelf im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.705,00 (€ 22.860,45).
