In the New Now auction, the work A Living Room with Oranges sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,724.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kevin Appel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4 Tier Bookshelf, which sold at auction in November 2002 for USD 22,705.00 (€ 22,860.45).
