Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition by László Moholy-Nagy was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 63,274.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by László Moholy-Nagy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 6,087,500.00 (€ 5,754,868.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition von László Moholy-Nagy kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 63.274,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von László Moholy-Nagy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Em 1 Telephonbild (Em 1 Telephone Picture) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.087.500,00 (€ 5.754.868,60).
