Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Four Figures by Lucian Freud. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,514.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucian Freud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) in November last year with an auction result of USD 86,265,000.00 (€ 83,565,823.89).
