Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Doctorate by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 111,250.00 (€ 130,463.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highpower in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Doctorate von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye kam im Juli 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 111.250,00 (€ 130.463,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Highpower im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59).
