Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bond of Union (Bool/Kist/Locher/Weirda 409) by Maurits Cornelis Escher was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,094.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurits Cornelis Escher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reptiles (Bool 327) in April last year with an auction result of USD 756,000.00 (€ 717,471.77).

Die Arbeit Bond of Union (Bool/Kist/Locher/Weirda 409) von Maurits Cornelis Escher kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.094,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
