Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Christies held the auction L'art à fleur de peau, parcours d'une collectionneuse, which included the work Retrato de Amélie V by Manolo Valdés. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 131,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manolo Valdés have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Infanta Margarita in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 538,602.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion L'art à fleur de peau, parcours d'une collectionneuse durch, in der auch die Arbeit Retrato de Amélie V von Manolo Valdés zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 131.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manolo Valdés auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Infanta Margarita im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 457.250,00 (€ 538.602,24).
