The work Les Fiancés ou Souvenir de Mille et une nuits by Marc Chagall was auctioned at Christies in London in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,680,000.00 (€ 3,373,670.70). Admittedly, works by Marc Chagall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Les Fiancés ou Souvenir de Mille et une nuits von Marc Chagall kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.680.000,00 (€ 3.373.670,70) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Chagall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
