Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (C-1482) by Marco Breuer. The price achieved of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,235.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marco Breuer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pan (C-366), 2003, which sold at auction in April 2016 for USD 15,625.00 (€ 13,657.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (C-1482) von Marco Breuer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.235,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Marco Breuer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pan (C-366), 2003 beobachtet, die im April 2016 für USD 15.625,00 (€ 13.657,02) versteigert wurde.
