Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nature Morte by María Blanchard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 182,500.00 (€ 213,010.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by María Blanchard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Joueur De Luth, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 457,250.00 (€ 566,184.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nature Morte von María Blanchard im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 182.500,00 (€ 213.010,18) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von María Blanchard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Joueur De Luth beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für GBP 457.250,00 (€ 566.184,36) versteigert wurde.
