Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Trois Danseuses Aux Marguerites by Marie Laurencin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. It achieved a price of USD 212,500.00 (€ 192,848.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marie Laurencin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Femme aux tulipes, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 602,500.00 (€ 462,181.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Trois Danseuses Aux Marguerites von Marie Laurencin kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 192.848,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Marie Laurencin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Femme aux tulipes beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 602.500,00 (€ 462.181,65) versteigert wurde.
