Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vampire by Marilyn Minter was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,968.40). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marilyn Minter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wave in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 250,442.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vampire von Marilyn Minter wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.968,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marilyn Minter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wave im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 250.442,23).
