The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,795.00 (€ 9,778.08), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marilyn Minter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wave in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 250,442.23).

Die Arbeit Double Bubble von Marilyn Minter wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.795,00 (€ 9.778,08) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marilyn Minter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wave im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 250.442,23).
