Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included the work Le Grand Génie Ou Le Grand Assistant by Max Ernst. It changed hands for a price of USD 750,000.00 (€ 615,056.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Grand Génie Ou Le Grand Assistant von Max Ernst zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 750.000,00 (€ 615.056,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Max Ernst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le roi jouant avec la reine im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 23.670.444,64).
