Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Who Called The Fish Fish by Miguel Covarrubias was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 28,360.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Miguel Covarrubias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Preparation Of A Balinese Ceremony in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 8,440,000.00 (€ 868,922.59).
