Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Christies in Paris held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour, which included the work Composition by Nicolas de Staël. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nicolas de Staël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) in October 2019 with an auction result of EUR 20,000,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Nicolas de Staël zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nicolas de Staël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Parc des Princes (Les grands footballeurs) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000.000,00.
