Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Ogata Gekko was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2005. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,560.00 (€ 1,293.75). Admittedly, works by Ogata Gekko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,832.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Ogata Gekko kam im September 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.560,00 (€ 1.293,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ogata Gekko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.400,00 (€ 7.832,65).
