Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work MK5 from Mushroom Kingdom by Oleg Dou. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,356.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oleg Dou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red, which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,623.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit MK5 from Mushroom Kingdom von Oleg Dou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.356,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oleg Dou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red beobachtet, die im März 2012 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.623,97) versteigert wurde.
