In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Per Kirkeby. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,522.38), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Per Kirkeby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 431,250.00 (€ 484,788.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Per Kirkeby zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.522,38) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Per Kirkeby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 431.250,00 (€ 484.788,96).
