Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Raoul Dufy could be acquired at Sothebys in London in February 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Le Cirque changed hands for GBP 389,000.00 (€ 498,455.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Raoul Dufy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Regattes À Trouville in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 1,505,000.00 (€ 2,075,171.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Raoul Dufy konnte im Februar 2016 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Le Cirque für GBP 389.000,00 (€ 498.455,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Raoul Dufy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Regattes À Trouville im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.505.000,00 (€ 2.075.171,47).
