Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birthday Boy (In Two Parts) by Renato L. Barja Jr. was sold in the CURATED: TURN IT UP auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,002.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Renato L. Barja Jr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hero For Hire / Enteng, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,844.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Birthday Boy (In Two Parts) von Renato L. Barja Jr. wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion CURATED: TURN IT UP bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.002,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Renato L. Barja Jr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hero For Hire / Enteng beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.844,23) versteigert wurde.
