Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Men in the Cities) by Robert Longo was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 5,080.00 (€ 4,799.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Longo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Leo) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,575,000.00 (€ 1,212,657.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Men in the Cities) von Robert Longo wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.080,00 (€ 4.799,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Longo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Leo) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.575.000,00 (€ 1.212.657,84).
