Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lobster Happening (A Pair Of Works) by Salvador Dalí was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 104,500.00 (€ 80,322.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvador Dalí achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Paul Éluard in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lobster Happening (A Pair Of Works) von Salvador Dalí kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 104.500,00 (€ 80.322,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Salvador Dalí erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Paul Éluard im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.481.250,00 (€ 15.879.784,58).
