In October 2021 Christies held the auction L'art à fleur de peau, parcours d'une collectionneuse, which included the work Sunday Players by Sandro Chia. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,250.00 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandro Chia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pharmacist's son in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 252,500.00 (€ 362,606.61).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion L'art à fleur de peau, parcours d'une collectionneuse durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunday Players von Sandro Chia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.250,00 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandro Chia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pharmacist's son im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 252.500,00 (€ 362.606,61).
