Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work His Mistress’ Toy by Sylvie Fleury for USD 625 (€ 552). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800 – 1,200 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sylvie Fleury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 162,500 (€ 144,624).
