Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 12 Space Elevator by Tomás Saraceno was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,559.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomás Saraceno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work M102/W+W, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 59,774.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 12 Space Elevator von Tomás Saraceno wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.559,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomás Saraceno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit M102/W+W beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 59.774,15) versteigert wurde.
