Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Tsis 107-1; and Tsis 109-3 by Tomio Seike. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,820.00 (€ 3,102.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomio Seike - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tsis 107-1; and Tsis 109-3 von Tomio Seike zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.820,00 (€ 3.102,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomio Seike mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Four Studies From 'Zoe' Series, 1983/4 beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78) versteigert wurde.
