Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La plage à la jetée by Willy James was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,050.31). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy James - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'Étang Gelé Aux Patineurs, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,342.16).

Die Arbeit La plage à la jetée von Willy James kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.050,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Willy James mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'Étang Gelé Aux Patineurs beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.342,16) versteigert wurde.
