In July this year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Paper drop (star) III by Wolfgang Tillmans. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,240.00 (€ 17,780.46), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paper drop (star) III von Wolfgang Tillmans zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.240,00 (€ 17.780,46) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
