It achieved a price of USD 2,892,500.00 (€ 2,431,080.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, (ANT 124) (Anthropometry of the Blue Period), (ANT 124)) in June last year with an auction result of GBP 27,197,000.00 (€ 31,595,177.57).

Die Arbeit Monogold, l’âge d’or, (MG 48) von Yves Klein kam im November 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.892.500,00 (€ 2.431.080,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, (ANT 124) (Anthropometry of the Blue Period), (ANT 124)) im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.197.000,00 (€ 31.595.177,57).
