It achieved a price of USD 25,007,500.00 (€ 24,225,031.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Alberto Giacometti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).

Die Arbeit Femme de Venise III von Alberto Giacometti kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.007.500,00 (€ 24.225.031,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
