Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work La Bacchante ou Nu allongé dans la campagne by André Lhote for USD 378,000.00 (€ 352,250.49). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by André Lhote have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,857,979.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Bacchante ou Nu allongé dans la campagne von André Lhote für USD 378.000,00 (€ 352.250,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Lhote auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.857.979,30).
